After the 1995 NFL season, Arthur Modell,owner of Clevelend Browns founded the Baltimore Ravens franchise. He moved his team to Baltimore and changed its name to Baltimore Ravens. (In 1999 a new Browns franchise began play in Cleveland.) The Ravens are named after a famous poem written by Edgar Allan Poe.
Modell brought to Baltimore a roster of various stars, including quarterback Vinny Testaverde and running back Earnest Byner. He also hired former Baltimore Colts head coach Ted Marchibroda to coach the new Ravens team.
M&T Bank Stadium is the home of the Baltimore Ravens.
