Philadelphia 76ers were founded in 1946 as the Syracuse Nationals. They
are based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They moved to Philadelphia in
1963. They are also known as the Sixers for short.
The Sixers
play their home games at the Wachovia Center. They have two NBA
Championships to their name, winning them in 1955, 1967, and 1983.
