The
Denver Nuggets were founded in 1967. They are based in Denver,
Colorado. They are formerly known as the Denver Rockets, until they
became the Denver Nuggets in 1975. They play all of their home games at
the Pepsi Center.
The Nuggets are one of 4 ABA teams that joined
the NBA through a league merger in 1976, the Denver Nuggets were one of
the basketball's most exciting franchises up until the end of the
1980s, but have had a resurgence in 2003.
